Ohau Falls 15 x 10

This small waterfall is located on the South Island of New Zealand; it tumbles down from a steep valley, which goes up between two mountains. The steep descent adds speed to the water. This makes the falls pick up a lot of entrained air, giving the bright white appearance to the scene. As the water rushed down the hill it creates a loud thundering sound, which gives an indication of the power of the falls. Lush green vegetation surrounds the falls giving it a stunning appearance.
